Psychoses

Psychoses are a group of serious mental disorders that affect a person's thoughts, emotions, and behaviour, typically causing a breakdown in their ability to function normally in everyday life. Symptoms can include delusions, hallucinations, and disorganized speech and behaviour. Psychoses can be caused by mental illness, substance abuse, or a combination of the two. Treatment often includes medication, psychotherapy, and social support. Psychoses can have a significant impact on an individual's life, often leading to isolation, difficulty in relationships, and problems in finding and keeping a job. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment is crucial to improving outcomes and quality of life for those with psychoses.
