Schizophrenia

Schizophrenia is a mental health disorder characterized by abnormal thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that interfere with everyday life. Symptoms of schizophrenia can range from delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech, difficulty concentrating and difficulty interacting with others, to disturbances in emotion, reasoning and behavior. People with schizophrenia often have difficulty functioning in everyday life, and may struggle to find and maintain employment or relationships. Treatment typically includes medication, psychotherapy, and lifestyle modifications. Early, appropriate treatment can help improve a person's outlook and quality of life.
