Schizophrenia Spectrum and Other Psychotic Disorders
Schizophrenia spectrum and other psychotic disorders are a group of mental health disorders that involve the disruption of thought processes, emotions, and behaviors. They can affect a person’s ability to function normally in everyday life and may be accompanied by psychotic episodes, like delusions and hallucinations. Treatment often includes a combination of medication, psychotherapy, and, in some cases, hospitalization. With proper treatment, many people who suffer from these disorders are able to lead fulfilling lives.
