Cardiac Hypertrophy
Cardiac hypertrophy is an abnormal thickening of the heart muscle that can be caused by high blood pressure, certain medical conditions, or drug use. It is a serious condition that can lead to heart failure and other medical problems. The heart enlarges in size and the walls of the heart become thicker than normal. This condition can be diagnosed using a number of tests, such as echocardiography, electrocardiography, or magnetic resonance imaging. Treatment may include lifestyle changes, such as exercising more and eating a healthy diet, as well as taking medications to reduce blood pressure or reduce the risk of a heart attack. Cardiac hypertrophy is an important condition that needs to be taken seriously and monitored regularly to keep the patient healthy and safe.
