Cerebellar Ataxia
Cerebellar Ataxia is a neurological disorder that affects coordination of movement, balance and speech. It is caused by damage to the cerebellum, a part of the brain responsible for controlling motor coordination and movement. Symptoms of the disorder range from poor coordination and clumsiness to slurred speech and difficulty walking. There is no cure for Cerebellar Ataxia, however, physical and occupational therapy, as well as medications, can help to improve the symptoms. Early diagnosis is important in order to ensure the best possible outcome. Cerebellar Ataxia can affect people of any age, and therefore, it is important to be aware of the signs and symptoms in order to get an appropriate diagnosis and treatment.
