Clonic Seizures

Clonic seizures are a type of epileptic seizure that cause sudden jerking and twitching of the arms, legs, and other body parts. These seizures usually last for a few seconds or up to two minutes and can occur multiple times in a single day. Clonic seizures are the result of abnormal and excessive electrical activity in the brain, and their severity and frequency varies from person to person. Treatment typically involves the use of anti-epileptic medications and can help to reduce the frequency and severity of these seizures. Clonic seizures can be disruptive, both for the person having them and for those around them, so proper management and treatment are important for maintaining quality of life.
