Femoral Arteries
The femoral arteries are two large arteries that are located in the thigh and are a significant part of the human circulatory system. They originate from the common iliac arteries and run down the thigh, supplying oxygenated blood to the lower limb muscles and tissues. The femoral arteries can be used in medical procedures such as angiography, thrombolysis, angioplasty, and bypass surgery. They are also important sites for physical examinations and medical diagnosis, as well as being used to take blood samples for testing. The femoral arteries play an essential role in the blood circulation of the lower limb and are vital for maintaining adequate health of the limbs.
