Leiomyosarcoma

Leiomyosarcoma is a rare type of cancer that affects the smooth muscles in the body. It is most commonly found in the uterus, abdominal wall, and other organs and can be difficult to diagnose. Leiomyosarcoma can spread to other areas of the body, making it a life-threatening condition. Treatment usually involves surgery to remove the tumor and, in some cases, chemotherapy and radiation. Early diagnosis and prompt treatment of leiomyosarcoma can improve the chances of a successful outcome.
