Motor System
The motor system is the set of processes in the human body that control movement - from the coordination of muscle groups to the initiation of voluntary motor activity. It plays an essential role in allowing us to perform everyday tasks, such as walking, writing, speaking, and more. A malfunction in the motor system can lead to disorders such as cerebral palsy, dystonia, and parkinsonism. The motor system is therefore a critical aspect of overall health and well-being. Its importance extends to rehabilitation and neurological treatment, which often focus on restoring and improving motor function.
