Osteoporosis

Osteoporosis is a bone disorder in which the bones become weak and brittle, leading to an increased risk of fracture. It is typically caused by an inadequate intake of dietary calcium and vitamin D, as well as age and hormones. Osteoporosis can have a wide range of negative impacts on health, including increased risk of falls and fractures, and chronic pain. The most effective way to prevent and treat osteoporosis is with lifestyle changes, such as daily exercise, a healthy diet, and adequate calcium and vitamin D intake. Regular doctor-recommended medical checkups and bone density tests are also essential for diagnosis and management.
