Phalanges

Phalanges are small bones in the body that form the hands and feet. They are made up of fourteen bones in the hand and toes, and are essential for mobility, support and stability of the body. The phalanges allow for movement of the hands and feet, provide structure to the hands and feet so things can be held and gripped, and support the body when standing and walking. They are an important part of the skeletal system and play a key role in allowing us to have free movement of our hands and feet.
