Proprioception

Proprioception is the sense of how one's body is positioned in space and the awareness of movement and changes in body position. It is an important sensory system which helps the body move efficiently and safely. Proprioception has applications in the medical field, where it can be used to assess and treat balance disorders, improve physical rehabilitation, and detect neurological conditions. A healthy proprioceptive system is also beneficial to athletes, contributing to improved coordination, speed and agility.
