Rhabdomyosarcoma

Rhabdomyosarcoma is a form of cancer that occurs in the soft tissues of the body, such as muscle, fat, cartilage, and blood vessels. It is the most common type of soft tissue cancer in children, but can also affect adults. Symptoms can include a tumor, pain, or swelling in the affected area. Treatment commonly includes chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and/or surgery. Early diagnosis and treatment can improve the chances of survival. Rhabdomyosarcoma is a serious disease, but due to advances in treatments, survival rates have increased over time.
