Amyloidosis
Amyloidosis is a serious medical condition caused by the accumulation of abnormal proteins called amyloids in the body's tissues and organs. It can cause organ failure and is often fatal. However, early diagnosis and treatment can be successful in controlling symptoms and delaying progression of the disease. Treatment options may include medications, lifestyle changes, and organ transplantation. By raising awareness of this rare but potentially life-threatening condition, patients can seek medical attention earlier, potentially increasing their chances of surviving amyloidosis.
