Fatty Liver Disease
Fatty Liver Disease (FLD) is a condition where fat builds up in the liver, leading to inflammation and potential damage to the liver. FLD is usually caused by excessive alcohol consumption, although it can also be caused by other factors such as obesity, diabetes and drugs. FLD can lead to serious health problems if left untreated, including liver scarring and cirrhosis. Early diagnosis and lifestyle modifications are essential to prevent the progression of FLD. Treatment usually involves diet modifications, exercise, weight loss and abstinence from alcohol.
