Kupffer Cells
Kupffer cells are specialized macrophages found in the liver. They play an important role in the body's response to pathogens, toxins, and other damaging substances, and help to maintain the balance of the liver's natural processes. Kupffer cells also aid in the elimination of cellular debris, as well as in the absorption of certain nutrients, such as iron and vitamin A. Kupffer cells are vital to the body's immune system, and their functions are essential for proper liver health.
