Follicular Thyroid Cancer
Follicular thyroid cancer is a rare form of thyroid cancer that primarily affects adults. It is often characterized by tumors that are present in the follicles of the thyroid gland. Over time, these tumors can grow and spread to other parts of the body. Treatment typically includes surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and hormone therapy to remove the cancer cells. Follicular thyroid cancer is one of the most curable forms of thyroid cancer when caught early and the prognosis is usually very good. It is important to monitor closely and visit the doctor regularly for regular check-ups if you have a history of follicular thyroid cancer.
