Abscesses

An abscess is a localized collection of pus surrounded by inflamed tissue. It is caused by an infection and is most commonly found in the skin and soft tissues of the body. It is a very common condition and can be drained or treated with antibiotics to clear the infection and help reduce inflammation. Abscesses can be very painful, and if left untreated can cause significant health problems. Early treatment is essential for successful resolution.
