Entomology
Entomology is the scientific study of insects, arthropods, and related groups. It includes the classification, evolution, ecology, and behaviour of insects, their role in the food chain, and their contribution to the environment and to human health. Entomology is important for controlling pest insects, and for understanding the potential environmental impact of human activities such as agricultural and urban development. In addition, entomology plays a crucial role in the study of diseases that are spread by insects, such as malaria and dengue fever. Entomologists also study the effects of insecticides on insect populations, as well as the developmental and environmental factors that shape insect diversity.
