Gynaecological Laparoscopy

Gynaecological Laparoscopy is a surgical procedure using a thin, lighted telescopic device to view, diagnose and treat problems in a woman's reproductive system. Through a small incision in the abdomen, the laparoscope is inserted and the surgeon is able to observe the female reproductive organs. This minimally invasive procedure has several advantages. Its benefits include less pain, smaller scars, and a faster recovery time than with traditional surgeries. As well as diagnosing problems, Gynaecological Laparoscopy is also used for tubal ligation, removal of fibroids and cysts, reversal of sterilization, repairing of a hernia, and endometrial ablation. It can also be used to diagnose and treat infertility, endometriosis, ectopic pregnancies and ovarian cancer. Gynaecological Laparoscopy is a safe, effective method of diagnosing and treating conditions of the female reproductive system, with minimal recovery time.
