Annelida

Annelida is a phylum of aquatic and terrestrial organisms, commonly referred to as segmented worms. They are segmented along their midline and possess a complete digestive system, circulatory system, and other complex organ systems. Annelida has significant ecological importance, as they are key players in the food web. They are also used for scientific research, as their unique anatomy and physiology can help us understand other species. Annelida can also be used for bioremediation, which is the use of living organisms to clean up environmental pollutants, as some species have been shown to have the ability to take up toxic substances from the environment.
