Dingoes
Dingoes, the native wild dogs of Australia, are an iconic species. They are one of the oldest and most successful land predators, whose presence on the continent for thousands of years has shaped the Australian landscape and its flora and fauna. Dingoes are widely recognised as a keystone species, meaning they play a critical role in their environment by controlling the populations of small mammals. They also provide important ecotourism opportunities, bringing tourists to local areas and providing a valuable source of income. Dingoes are an important part of Australia's cultural heritage and are a symbol of its unique natural biodiversity. As such, they are a species that should be protected, managed and conserved.
