Horns Anatomy
Horns are bony growths found on the heads of animals such as cows and sheep, and are made up of a soft, spongy core surrounded by a bony sheath. Horns are important for a range of functions, including defending against predators and intra-species competition, as well as identifying one individual from another. Horns are often used in scientific research as a tool to measure the age of an animal and the impact of stressors in the environment. Horns can also be used to decorate crafts and jewelry.
