Paleozoology
Paleozoology is the study of animal life from the Paleozoic Era (542 million years ago to 251 million years ago). This field of zoology involves the reconstruction of animal behavior and environments from the fossil record. Paleozoology is an important field of paleontology as it helps us understand how animals were adapted to the changing environments of the Paleozoic Era and how they interact with each other. Paleozoology can also help us understand the evolution of animal life over time. It is also used to inform conservation and restoration efforts of animals living today. This field is key to furthering our knowledge of the natural world and the past.
