Wings

Wings are appendages used by flying animals, such as birds and insects, to enable them to take flight and cover great distances. Wings aid in providing lift, creating thrust, and providing stability while in the air. Wings provide the creature with the ability to move faster and make more precise movements than if it were to use only its legs. They also enable the creature to move up and down in the air and not just in a straight line. Wings are a vital part of understanding the physics of flight and are essential in the development of flight for modern aircraft.
