Endocytosis

Endocytosis is a biological process by which cells absorb molecules, such as nutrients, hormones, and proteins, from the surrounding environment. It is an important mechanism of cellular communication and nutrient transport, and also plays a critical role in the immune system. Endocytosis occurs when a cell membrane invaginates, forming a vesicle that encapsulates the substance and carries it inside the cell. Depending on the type of endocytosis, the substance may either be degraded or reused by the cell. Endocytosis is a fundamental process for the survival of organisms and plays a crucial role in the development and functioning of cells.
