Hpv-18

HPV-18, or Human Papillomavirus-18, is a type of virus that can cause cervical cancer in women and other cancers in both men and women, such as anal and oropharyngeal cancers. It is the second most common type of HPV, and is the most commonly linked to cancers. HPV-18 is highly preventable through vaccination, with the HPV vaccine having been proven to be effective in preventing at least 70% of HPV-related cancers. Regular cervical screening is also important in the prevention of HPV-18, as it can help to detect any abnormal changes in the cervix before they have a chance to develop into cancer. HPV-18 can cause severe health complications if left untreated, and is therefore a major health concern to be aware of.
