Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis is the process of a dramatic change in body form of an animal during its life cycle. This change can be a complete structural transformation, such as a caterpillar turning into a butterfly, or a gradual change in size or color. Metamorphosis is important in the life of many animals, such as frogs, crabs and moths, as it is the key process that helps them transition into their mature and reproductive life stages. Metamorphosis also plays a key role in the ecosystems of many environments, by allowing organisms to adapt to their changing environment.
