Paranoid Schizophrenia
Paranoid Schizophrenia is a severe mental disorder affecting the way someone thinks, feels and behaves. It is characterized by delusions and hallucinations which lead to disorganized thinking and difficulty in communicating or functioning. The most common symptom is paranoia, where the individual feels persecuted, or believes that their thoughts are being controlled or monitored. Symptoms such as delusions, hallucinations, disorganized speech and behavior, as well as cognitive deficits lead to impairments in daily functioning, relationships and work. Early diagnosis and treatment are important for improving outcomes and reducing the impact of the symptoms. Treatment typically includes a combination of medication and psychosocial therapies aimed at reducing symptoms, improving functioning and helping the person cope with the disorder.
