Nasotracheal and Nasogastric Tubes
Nasotracheal and Nasogastric tubes are thin, flexible tubes that are inserted through either the nose or mouth and passed to the lungs or stomach, respectively. These tubes are essential medical tools used to deliver nutrition, medication and other fluids to patients, and to drain fluids from the lungs or stomach. They are also used to measure the pressures in the lungs or stomach, and to take samples of secretions. Nasotracheal and Nasogastric tubes are critical tools in modern medical care, helping to keep patients healthy and comfortable.
