Oral Ulcers
Oral ulcers are small, painful sores that occur in the mouth, typically on the tongue, cheeks, lips, or gums. They can develop in response to infections, allergies, food sensitivities, cancer treatments, or stress, and can range in size from barely visible to quite large. They can be difficult to treat, but proper oral hygiene and medical care can help to reduce the frequency of developing ulcers. Oral ulcers can be a sign of serious underlying medical conditions, so seeing a doctor is important in determining the cause and providing effective treatment.
