Roux-en-y Procedure
The Roux-en-Y procedure is a surgical technique used to treat obesity and metabolic conditions such as type 2 diabetes. During the procedure, the stomach is divided into two parts and a portion of the small intestine is connected to the pouch created out of the stomach. This reduces the amount of food that can be eaten without interfering with the digestion process, resulting in weight loss. Additionally, the intestinal connection can improve glucose levels, resulting in greater control of type 2 diabetes. The Roux-en-Y procedure is an effective and safe way to treat obesity and metabolic conditions, and is often recommended for those wanting to take back control of their health.
