Fungal Infection
Fungal infection, also known as mycosis, is a condition caused by a fungus on or in the human body. It can cause skin, hair, nail, and other tissue infections. Symptoms of a fungal infection may vary depending on the part of the body affected and the type of fungus, but they can include itching, redness, burning, discomfort, and even swelling. Treatment can include medications, creams, ointments, and lifestyle changes. Fungal infections are more common in people with weakened immune systems, such as in those with HIV/AIDS or cancer, but they can affect anyone. It is important to seek medical help if you have any signs or symptoms of a fungal infection.
