Sinus Inflammation
Sinus inflammation, also known as sinusitis, is an inflammation of the tissue lining the sinuses due to an infection, allergies, or other irritants. Symptoms of sinusitis may include nasal congestion, headaches, facial pain or pressure, postnasal drip, or sinus blockage. Sinusitis can be acute or chronic, and can be caused by bacterial, viral, or fungal agents. Treatment includes antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications, nasal sprays, and nasal irrigation. Without proper treatment, sinusitis can progress and become a chronic issue, leading to more serious health concerns. Knowing and recognizing the symptoms of sinusitis is essential in ensuring proper treatment and relief.
