Imaging Tests
Imaging tests are medical tests that use various techniques, such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasound, to produce detailed images of the body’s tissues and organs. These tests help diagnose and monitor certain conditions, detect the presence and extent of disease, and assess the effectiveness of certain treatments. They are also critical for guiding surgeons to the precise location of a tumor or other problem area during procedures. This can save time and result in better outcomes and fewer complications. Imaging tests play an important role in helping maintain health, diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses and injuries, and monitor progress in treatment.
