Postoperative Complications

Postoperative complications are adverse events that occur during or after surgery. Complications can range from minor issues, such as infection, to major issues, such as organ failure. Identifying these potential complications before and during surgery, and then implementing preventative measures, can help reduce the risk of developing serious health problems after surgery. Postoperative complications can also be used as an indicator of the quality of medical services provided, as they are a strong indicator of the effectiveness of patient care provided.
