Serology

Serology is a diagnostic field that deals with the study of blood serum and other bodily fluids to detect diseases. It is mainly used to diagnose and monitor infectious diseases, autoimmune conditions and allergies. Serology is conducted by detecting the presence and concentration of certain antibodies, antigens and hormones within the body. This process allows for the diagnosis of diseases such as HIV, measles, rubella and hepatitis, as well as to monitor the progression of a disease over time. Serology is an important tool in modern diagnostics and is necessary for proper treatment and prevention of various conditions.
