Each route reaches the journal’s editorial office. A manuscript goes through one of them, not several.

Alternative route: submission form
A single form for authors who prefer not to create an account. The form opens with this journal already selected.
Assisted route: editorial email
Write to the editorial office and a member of staff will take the manuscript in. This route is available to any author.
What happens next
After the manuscript arrives
Submission, review and a decision to decline carry no charge. The article processing charge of USD 2,100 is raised only after a manuscript has been accepted, and is set out on the Article Processing Charges page.
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal’s scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review.
Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request.
Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal.
Editorial decisions are independent of fees, services, membership, and editorial or reviewer roles.
