Foot Ulcers

Foot ulcers are open wounds that form on the feet due to infection, pressure, or trauma. They can be especially dangerous for those with diabetes, as they can lead to severe infections, hospitalization, and, in some cases, amputation. Early detection and treatment are key to preventing long-term damage and to controlling the ulcer's progression. Treatment for foot ulcers typically includes wound cleaning, off-loading pressure from the ulcer, and suitable wound dressings that can help reduce inflammation, improve healing, and minimize bacterial infection. The successful management of foot ulcers can greatly improve quality of life and reduce the risk of serious complications.
